There is a noted difference between fact and theory. Facts are proven to be true by evidence. Theories are conclusions based on pure supposition (an educated guess or hypothetical conjectures).
The theory of evolution has not existed for an extremely long time. Its origin is generally associated with the release of Charles Darwin’s Origin of Species in 1859. However, in almost 140 years, the theory has been able to penetrate virtually every society, every culture and even the church. It has been elevated to such a point of recognition that many have begun to see it as a fact.
Some in Christendom (those who profess a belief in the deity of Christ) have been driven to the point where they feel they must harmonize evolution with the Bible. Evolution has absolutely nothing to do with the Bible. Either you believe in evolution, or you believe in the Bible. There is no middle ground.
The theory of evolution states that every living thing that exists today evolved from lower forms of life. Evolutionists would have us believe that this process has continued over millions and some even say billions of years. This would mean man has not existed from the beginning.
God supplied man with a record of the beginning. In this record, not only does God supply the source of the beginning of all life, but He also provides certain geological and scientific facts about man, the earth and the universe.
There is sufficient evidence to prove that creation is true. There is also sufficient evidence to prove that evolution is false. First, evolution does not address the problem. Evolution attempts to address survival of the fittest, whereas the real question pertains to arrival (From where did we and every other living and non-living thing come?).
The evolutionist’s variable, which is supposed to mask its weaknesses, is time. Time is the only element he can adjust while attempting to prove his assertion. The evolutionist’s basic formula is: “nothing + time + chance = world (reality).” Even mathematicians know that nothing plus nothing regardless of time and chance still equals nothing. Do the fields of medicine and science accept nothing from nothing? The answer is obviously, “No!”
Now, consider just a few facts from the Bible to show its authority in the creation account, and we will go a long way in proving creation, rather than evolution, is true. Remember, the Bible is based on fact and not theory. The Bible has been tested and is true.
- (1450 B.C.) Man believed that disease and evil spirits were in blood, and to get rid of them doctors bled the patient. At this very same time, God said blood was essential to life (Leviticus 17:11–14).
- (1450 B.C.) Man did not isolate disease, causing contamination and even death. Again, at this same time, God said to quarantine certain diseases (Leviticus 13–15).
- (750 B.C.-50 A.D.) Man believed the earth was flat. God said the earth is round and that day and night take place at the same time (Isaiah 40:22; Proverbs 8:27; Luke 17:34).
This list could go on for pages. The point is this. Just because someone says a thing is so doesn’t make it so. Evolutionists may think evolution is so or even say they can prove it, but that doesn’t make it so. Show me spontaneous life or a creature that evolved to a higher life form. Evolutionists resort to unobservable and variable measurements of time in place of evidence or proof for their claim. Mister Evolutionist, how many years will it take for man to evolve to the next level? Evolution denies the Bible, God and Salvation. God exists; therefore, evolution cannot be true.
