Who is man or the federal government, for that matter, to tell God that He cannot be where He wants to make His presence known? America, by way of the federal courts and Congress, has tried to tell God to stay out of our schools, our businesses, our state offices, every aspect of daily lives and livelihoods.
God will go and be anywhere He pleases, and all the courts and laws will not be able to stand in His way. He is in the halls of Congress watching the graft and corruption that goes on there. He watches the greedy get rich at the expense of the righteous poor people. He stands behind the Justices of the Supreme Court, watching their every move as they ban Him from schools and authorize the murder of unborn babies.
God will be in His place in the lives of men whether He is wanted there or not. He will be in the marketplace where merchants deal rightly or deceitfully with the customer. He is in the hospital operating rooms, by the sickbed and by one’s deathbed. He is in the classrooms of our nation even as some teachers try to train our children with good moral values, even while some try to teach young people that God does not even exist.
Eventually, everyone will have to admit God’s existence and His very nearness as He surrounds us in all His power, wisdom, strength and very presence. It is time that we as a unified people stand up to proclaim, “I know that God is alive!” Let us make our voices heard both to God and to our fellow man. “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God…’” (Psalm 14:1 NKJV).
