Tremble at My Word

Many people claim to follow God. Many people claim to be Christians. But a true Christian follows all that God commands. A Christian does not do some of what God commands, but not do other things. A Christian does not add to God’s Word. A Christian does not need to find new things to add to God’s Word. A Christian does not delete things from God’s Word.

God will only save those individuals who follow his Word. In Isaiah 66:2, we read, “For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.”

A person should tremble when he considers the words that God has given us. His Word is not to be taken lightly. It is not something that can be ignored. It is not something at which one would laugh. God’s Word is a very serious matter. His Word is given to us so that we can please him. It is designed to get us to heaven.

Do you take God’s Word very seriously? Do you tremble to think of disobeying God? Study God’s Word. Learn all that the Bible has to teach us. Obey it. Make sure that you always tremble before God Almighty. And if any of this is hard to understand, ask an adult to help you.Image
