Paul wrote a letter to a man named Philemon. Paul stated that he always remembered Philemon in his prayers. He stated that Philemon was known for his love and faith.
Then in verse six, Paul tells him, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” The Greek word translated “communication” is the word for “fellowship.” The Greek word translated “effectual” is the word for “energized.”
When Christians really care for one another and love one another as they should, each Christian’s faith is energized. When we let the love of Christ Jesus take the primary role in our lives, then we encourage and uplift each other. All the blessings that we each have should be shared with others. And this sharing energizes each person sharing.
It is the responsibility of each person to share the love of God. It is the responsibility of each person to share his blessings with others. It is not only our responsibility but it should be our pleasure to share. By sharing, we can energize others’ faith and help them to remain in Christ.
